What is a funding round signal?

A funding round signal fires when a company closes an equity investment — from pre-seed angel rounds (£50k+) through to Series A, B, and later growth rounds. The announcement may come via a press release, LinkedIn post from the founders, Crunchbase update, or Companies House filing.

A funding round does three things simultaneously: it gives a company money, a mandate to spend it, and a board expecting rapid growth.
